Merch by Amazon (officially Amazon Merch on Demand) is a print on demand service from Amazon. Designers upload their artwork, pick the products they want to offer, and Amazon takes care of production, shipping, and customer service.

The core concept gives creators a risk-free way to sell merchandise, such as t-shirts on Amazon, without investing in production or inventory. For every sale, the designer earns a royalty.

Once an account is approved, the creator uploads their design, selects product types and colors, and writes a product description. Amazon automatically generates a sales page.

When an order comes in, Amazon prints the item “on demand” and ships it. The creator carries no inventory risk. The royalty depends on the sales price, from which Amazon deducts taxes and production costs.
